Dear Pastor & praying Friends,
Let me take this opportunity to thank you so much for your precious
input in world missions in terms of your love, prayers and treasure
supporting missionaries around the globe and most especially
my family and I here in Lira, Uganda, East Africa.
We gave all glory and honor to God for what He is doing here
in northern Uganda, peace and order situation has improved at
least coming to two years now and opportunity to witness is everywhere
but laborers are few. Please, come over and help us!
Allow me to share with you a summary of what has transpired since
January through March 2008.
Jan. 12, Pastor Timothy and I moved right up to Pader district
the land of Acholi tribe and the Rebel forces known as LRA lord
resistance army, God enabled us perform the wedding ceremony
to one of our preacher, before the exchange of vows we gave the
gospel message and invite people to receive Christ as their personal
Savior at least 100 souls responded.
Jan. 16, Mr. Elunga Vincent, faithful member of Christ Biblical
Baptist Church in Apac district died, Timothy conducted the funeral
service more than 800 people came and hear the gospel message.
Jan. 21, Vacation Bible School graduation, hundreds of children
and teenagers got their certificate and above all professed their
faith in Christ Jesus as their Savior.
Feb. 17, most of the children and young people were back to School,
the former evacuation center during frequent rebel attacks in
2004, just 50 meters away from our church property converted
in to Technical school. God has given us privilege to witness
and the school administrator has allowed us to conduct a Bible
study to their students every Friday and attend our church services
during Sunday, over 200 students accepted Christ as their Lord
and Savior.
Month of March, besides young people we have adults first
time visitors every services were getting saved and many more
through Soul winning and visitation. Our weakness is baptism,
since January only 10 adults followed the Lord through water
baptism by immersion.
Mar. 30, 14 teenagers came for the first time from Nancy school
for the deaf and they all got saved. Bible Institute for adults
13 people has enrolled. Our Bible School for young people we
are expecting to add new students before the end of April in
fact at the moment we have 10 prospects most of them are unable
to pay their tuition fee in secular school.
Brethren, you all have such a special place in our hearts! Thank
you for working together in the Lord’s vineyard. Our prayer
is that God will richly bless you all!
